The third edition of the Panamerican Championship of football was held in Mexico City, Mexico from February 26 to March 18. Six teams entered the competition with Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Mexico and the Netherlands Antilles all entering the competition.
Brazil would again take out the title, this time with a matchday to spare as they wiped the floor off the other teams with the only fault being Argentina which ended in a 1-1 draw.
